Jet Fuel Tenders Announces Strategic Partnership with IATA

Jet Fuel Tenders is proud to announce it has joined the Strategic Partnership Program of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to further develop its cloud-based jet fuel tendering platform. Designed for commercial airlines as well as operators of large executive aircraft fleets, the platform is very easy to use. IATA is the trade association for the world’s commercial airlines, representing some 290 airlines or 82 percent of total air traffic. The IATA Strategic Program (SP) provides the exclusive opportunity for various industry segments to network, contribute ideas and share innovative solutions.

The fuel tendering process relies on accurate, standardized bid data shared between suppliers and airlines. A standard data format and common platform makes it quick and simple for airlines to compare, award and track their fuel contracts. Jet Fuel Tenders is committed to providing an easy-to-use, reliable, cloud-based platform solution in line with IATA Data Standards that enable airline companies to tender efficiently. “A surprising number of jet fuel tenders are still conducted via email, using excel spreadsheets,” explains company CEO Thomas Coulson. “This is very time consuming and can cause errors in the data. We are very excited for the opportunity to work with IATA and its member airlines in order to make the jet fuel tendering process more efficient and accurate.” Several airlines have begun testing the platform and will soon begin running live tenders.

Jet Fuel Tenders is a DBA of Delaware based software company BTSoft LLC, a provider of cloud-based solutions for the aviation industry.
